Bite-Sized Management: Getting the Essentials
It has been a real pleasure and lots of fun holding what I call Bite-Sized Management conversations around town.
Bite-Sized Management presents the essence of an otherwise complex subject in half an hour. We focus on the key elements of a subject to provide a refresher for those familiar with the subject or an introduction for those who have not encountered it before.
Last month I was with the TRNZact, Pietermaritzburg team, where I presented a bite-sized introduction to business communication. Prior to that the teachers at Epworth Preparatory School were given a bite-sized look at customer service.
Last week I was privileged to be with the management team at award-winning Training Leadership Consulting (TLC) – see picture. We had a bite-sized look at discipline and preparing evidence for a disciplinary hearing.
Is your management team too busy for a full workshop but needs an update on people-management issues? A reminder of what matters in management?
In 30 minutes (perhaps during your regular management meeting or a brown-bag lunch-time session) Ian Webster will give your team insights into the critical issues they are facing and some practical steps to implement in the next week.
What does your team need? Is it recruiting skills, managing discipline or managing performance; is it customer service, communication or employee engagement? What are the critical elements of change management or preparing for a disciplinary enquiry?
