Results matter, whether Matric (school) or business results.
What do you measure? Sales, profit, budget controls, ROI, share price …? How did you do in 2018?
Results matter. But if we want to sustain what we have achieved, we must know how we got there. Because the controls and processes we put in place along the way and, more particularly, the people we hired and how we led them, will determine whether our results are sustainable.
Who did you hire last year? How did you integrate them into the organisation and their job? Do they know what it’s all about? If we asked them, would they say, ‘It’s just a job’ or ‘I’m under great leadership, and I know where I’m going’?
